“Free Us or Kill Us” is a seven minute video featuring David Wataari who has been in previous releases after being taken captive by Somalia’s al Shabaab militants. (tangentcode)
The pleas are directly to the people of Kenya not to forget the soldiers who were only following orders to not be forgotten.
On the anniversary of the Brussels attack (wiki) a man, (later named as Khalid Masood, aka Adrian Russell Ajao) has driven a car into people injuring up to 40 people and killing three. The attacker was quickly neutralised however only after stabbing and killing a policeman.
(One of the deceased was later identified as Utah man, Kurt Cochran).
Video below showing the speed the car was travelling, and the person who fell into the river. later identified as Andreea Cristea tourist from Romania.
Update – April 6th 2017 – A 31-year-old Romanian tourist who plunged into the River Thames during last month’s terror attack outside the British parliament has died.
The car used in the attack was rented in Birmingham, where a number of arrests have recently taken place.
Almost a full day later Daesh push out a release through Amaq which has been seen by media as “claiming responsibility”. This is merely an acknowledgement of the act. If Daesh were responsible the notification would have been released minutes after, not nearly a day later.
“authorities will be concerned he may have become radicalised in prison.”
“He had a young child, who I’d think was about five or six years old” (read here)
Update – In Belgium a 39 year old French national was foiled as he attempted to copy the London Attack. (here) Weapons were found in the car.
Update – Further arrests 27th March 2017 (here – Daily Mail)
The twenty three minute video, “Sword of Courage” from Jazirah is a threaded together POV battle vision of Daesh storming an outpost and looting equipment.
This attack and plunder methodology has evolved from late 2014 as technology, training and equipment have become available. Daesh now start the attack from greater distances. As opposed to “sneaking up” and overwhelming their target, Daesh now have guided rockets, artillery and drones which has given them an ability to attack with fewer fighters for the same resource rich outcomes.
The video shows a half dozen lightly armed APC’s carry fighters to a post which has come under advanced fire and drone bombing. The advanced attack has used a grader-tractor to breach the post’s defensive dirt berms allowing a VBIED to drive through and detonate. A small number of survivors from the initial attack are slowly and maliciously picked off, their bodies defiled. The ammunition is looted and anything else that is not nailed down is either destroyed or stolen.
Drones dropping small explosive are now common in lightening war.
Recent reports from Coalition claim the numbers of Daesh fighters has taken a toll in recent months, however there remains a hard core of well trained and fluid fighters still causing damage and providing training.

Fourteen minute video under the banner Wilayat Bengal, “And The Disbelievers Planned, But God Planned. And God Is The Best Of Planners ” (Qur’anic verse 3:54) from 23 September 2016 set around the July Dhaka Cafe Attack (wiki). This is not the first time Daesh elements have popped their head up in this region. Four men were arrested in January 2016, after making video media aligning themselves with Daesh. (tangentcode).
The Bengal production could be seen as a gasp for breath as Daesh suffer geographically across Iraq and Syria. One point to remember regarding the Dhaka attack is that the young men were not from impoverished or disrupted back grounds, rather from comfortable middle class families, which provide a nursery for Daesh ideology planted by an extremists elements often disenchanted with their own misunderstandings and spiritual vacuums.
A similar event of push media has also occurred with the reappearance of Boko Haram’s Abubakar Shekau, thought to have been killed, showing up in video media. (Reuters) in a low quality YouTube video. Below is Abubakar Shekau from the Wing Commander Hedima “Nigerian Pilot Beheading” video (tangentcode) February 2015.
And as seen in the September 2016 YouTube video (below)

Seventeen and a half minute Furat video released 16 September 2016 with Somalian Mujahideen out on picnic/prayer session with multi-lingual threat fest. The video is quirky with its rough editing and layers of ‘smudge censor’ in an effort to conceal the groups identities. This seems a waste of time as through the video there are moments when the faces can be made out from under the polyester veils.
Through the dialogue words and the names of capitals cities can be made out, the “get ready brother” and the “if you cannot follow you must have an excuse’ narrative is repeated. The video ends with a camel being slaughtered and skinned.
The video released through Al Hayat is almost a copy of the earlier release “Kill them. where ever you find them” from February 2016. The most substantial difference is the addition of English subtitles. The video shows the media cycling that Daesh use in which they will build on events that have been attributed to them. Daesh are an “after the event cheer squad” and now only seek to indoctrinate through cell phones and Telegram chats. And in that model are inherent weaknesses, however the success and failure ratio does not need to be more than a tenth of one percent of a population to achieve the end game.
Below is a screen capture from the official Daesh web presence, or at least one of them. The request is for email and passwords to twitter and FaceBook accounts.
Just over a week ago it was beginning to become difficult to find some of the “Daesh – Russian” videos and in some cases it was as if they never existed. Daesh had their digital world shaken but it was n’t by who you expecting.
For over a year the spooks pseudo-Anonymous have actually done very little, if anything to interrupt the PR flow, but when Russia steps into the frey the rug gets pulled from under Daesh in a matter of days. The gradual decline of the Daesh social media machine is now at a point where Daesh are openly appropriating channels from followers.

President of the United States of America answering questions at #G20 Antalya, and offering some insight into the fight against Daesh.
“if you have a handful of people, who don’t mind dying…they can kill a lot of people“
“it’s not their sophistication, or the particular weaponry that they possess, but it is the ideology that they carry with them, and their willingness to die“

Video from West Ifriqiyyah media, possibly from September 2015, show Boko Haram insurgents near Borno moving across a grassy area with small to large tree cover. At first it is not clear what or who they are firing at. A tank appears and is chased by the lightly armed ground force. The video continues showing Government troops driving away, but it is not long until the insurgents catch up with the remaining Nigerian Troops. Bodies are shown in various states of injury as they are looted. One of the Government soldiers is captured alive and is gratuitously despatched in a cruel beheading scene.
The video concludes with the Boko Haram insurgents seemingly delighted with their haul of looted weapons and ammunition, which in reality would possibly only replace what they expended.
Nigerian forces have repelled Boko Haram only to have to take that same region again at a later date. One recent attempt to dissuade attacks is to ban the use of horses by military, (here)
